As the new year has come and many people have made plans to make things happen in 2023. I wonder, what's your plan?
Have you sat down and asked God what it is He wants you to accomplish this year? What about just this month, this week or even just today?
Sometimes we as Christians can get consumed with the things of this world and forget the scriptures which tell us we are to be in this world but not of this world. We forget we should keep God in the center of our plans in order to avoid conforming to this world.
The Apostle Paul to the Romans in Romans 12:2 (GNT) gives us a great example of why it's important to not conform to this world:
"Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect."
We must be in this world because God put us in this world for a purpose. We as believers must determine what that purpose is. So therefore as we are here on this earth for the time God has us here we should not conform ourselves to the standards of this world, but yet, listen to that inner small voice of the Holy Spirit leading and guiding and completely changing our mind.
How do we not conform? We have a plan. A plan to follow after God's own heart. A plan to try and do our best ever day. We are human and we do have a sinful nature so not one of us on this earth is perfect. Jesus was the only perfect human on earth. Our plan is to ask God to lead and guide us every day in the steps we should take. Our plan should be to consider asking God before jumping in headfirst into a project, a job, a gig, a function a anything. Let God be our leading source.
So, what's your plan?
My prayer for you in 2023 is you will not be lead by fear or guilt, shame or deceit, but you will be lead completely by the Holy Spirit and you will be filled with joy unspeakable, time renewed, health restored, abundant blessings and much more!
